Starting of Fuel oil/Lube oil Purifier on Ship (Mitsubishi)

Checks to do before starting of purifier

  1.  Check the suction filter is clean
  2.  Check the manual break in the normal position
  3. Check the sump oil level

Before starting the purifier

  1. Open the operating water valve
  2. Open the fuel/lube oil inlet and outlet valve of the purifier
  3. Open Steam inlet and outlet valve
  4.  Open the desludging valve of the purifier

Starting Procedure of Purifier

  • 1.        Switch on the power of the purifier control panel
  • 2.        Start the motor
  • 3.        Switch off the MM Function (So that it won’t give any alarm during start-up)
  • 4.        Check the Amperage of the motor. Wait till it gets stabilized
  • 5.        Check the temperature setting and adjust it slowly
  • 6.        Once the Amperage is stabilized switch on  Auto
  • 7.        Check for the operational parameters.
